Milligan, in partnership with Turner & Townsend and Kirklees Council, has been appointed to play a pivotal role in the £262 million regeneration of Huddersfield’s historic town centre. The project, named Our Cultural Heart, is the centrepiece of Huddersfield’s resurgence, blending cultural innovation with community identity to reimagine the town’s future.

As part of this ambitious transformation, Milligan will secure an operator for a 17,000 sq ft food hall, which will anchor Our Cultural Heart. The foodhall will operate from the beautifully restored, Grade II-listed Queensgate Market building, offering a vibrant culinary experience that will attract residents and visitors alike.

The Our Cultural Heart regeneration project is a hallmark of thoughtful urban renewal, bringing together history, culture, and modern amenities to create a thriving hub for Huddersfield and the wider Kirklees region.
