Yesterday Milligan’s Tarah Gear presented our progress on the Gateway at PEAK – the landmark development near Chesterfield and Gateway the Peak District National Park. Alongside the project’s strategic partner, Chesterfield Borough Council and other investors in the town, Tarah spoke about the recent milestone of submitting phase 1 for detailed planning at the Chesterfield Investment Summit.
Tarah also spoke about the Gateway being part of the Clean Growth agenda, where innovation in transport, water and waste, hospitality, retail, F&B and energy use can be delivered through the tourism economy.
Tarah also presented the social benefits of the scheme, the 1,000 jobs phase 1 alone will create and the ambition for a green skills academy that will be delivered as on site at the Gateway alongside education partners.
Detailed planning for the development has now been submitted to Chesterfield Borough Council and open days will continue to be held on site as part of the statutory consultation.
