Milligan has been appointed by Dorset Council, alongside Willmott Dixon, to deliver a major regeneration programme for Weymouth. This partnership marks a significant step in transforming the town’s waterfront and urban spaces, creating a vibrant destination that celebrates Weymouth’s unique coastal character while driving economic growth.

The Vision

The regeneration will focus on unlocking the potential of Weymouth’s town centre and harbourside, enhancing connectivity, and creating spaces that attract residents, visitors, and businesses. The ambition is to deliver a sustainable, inclusive environment that reflects the town’s heritage and future aspirations.

Our Role

Milligan brings expertise in placemaking and commercial strategy to ensure the regeneration delivers long-term value for the community. Working collaboratively with Dorset Council and Willmott Dixon, we will:

• Shape a masterplan that balances heritage with modern needs.
• Develop a mix of uses that supports local businesses and attracts investment.
• Create public spaces that foster social interaction and wellbeing.
