Working alongside Ashford Borough Council we are working to deliver plans for an ambitious town centre regeneration
As a major part of the ‘town centre reset’, St Marys Fields will help to rejuvenate Ashford Town centre. The development will enhance Ashford’s cultural offer, create new public spaces and gardens, provide improved links and connections, bring new residents and employment into the town centre, and attract fresh investment benefitting the whole community.
The proposals will provide over 200 new homes and a new cultural venue giving the town a lively central point, buzzing with charm and character, for its urban community.
The development will set a new design precedence for Ashford which is future-ready and sustainable. Bringing Ashford’s rich heritage to the fore, is also a driving principle behind creating flowing, connected spaces, opening up views of the grade 1 listed St Mary’s Church and enhancing the link to Ashford Baptist Church through improved pedestrian connections.
The former Odeon cinema building will be repurposed to provide the town with a modern cultural venue and its retro façade will be retained and refurbished. At their heart, these proposals mark an exciting new chapter for Ashford. They are designed to create a fresh and exciting place for all of Ashford’s residents to visit, work and play and safely enjoy with their families and friends.
The council is currently talking to key stakeholders, including cultural organisations and local businesses, and the people of Ashford will soon be able to have their say on the plans when they are taken to public consultation.
