In December 2019, Brockton Capital and Milligan sold the Mailbox to M7 Real Estate.
Milligan was then retained as Development Manager to oversee the transformation of the lower level of retail into offices. Vacant Possession was achieved within 12 months to allow for the conversion of 50,000 sq. ft to offices, which was completed in May 2022.
It is now one of the largest co-working spaces in the Midlands operated by IWG under its ‘SPACES’ brand.
Milligan managed the design team of Weedons (architect), Cundall (Engineers) and EQ2 (lighting consultant) and specialist contractor, Rhino Interiors, to promote efficient integration between design intent and delivery in quick time. As part of a sustainability agenda, the re-use of existing material was a priority. The former luxury mall finishes were reused as an inviting collaboration area and ‘winter garden’ breakout space.
